Is this plug used for anything?

    (the shorter one)

I'm thinking this harness is from an automatic car.

Tell if I can remove it or not.

It looks like an OBDII wiring harness.

It's not OBDII, it's from a '92 e36 w/ vanos. Which I guess seems to have been automatic.

                        A late 92' car is considered a 93' just like my 10/90 318is is considered a 91' 318is

If you want to buy a vanos unit for a 92' dont think you will end up with anything.
