Possible oil level (dynamic) sensor?

Would it be ok to splice it into one of the ignition relays in the c101? Or would it cause problems from drawing to much power? or something like that.

i dont want to thread jack.....lets keep this thread for oil level sensors. do a search in this forum with the title ABS. we just discussed this a couple of weeks ago. revive an old post if the solution is unclear.

Ok, so to sum this thread up

If your x20 doesn't have the oil level dynamic wire(usually pin 10) then you will need to run a 3 wiries from the sensor in the oilpan to the e30 c101.

The 3 wires are:

1: Dynamic - Run this wire to pin 10 in the c101
2: Static - Run this wire to pin 2 in the c101
3: Ground - Run this to passanger side strut tower.

You need to wire in the E34 oil level sender separate from your E36 harness. It's three wires - two signal wires and a ground.

So you will need to wire in both the dynamic (E30 pin #10) and static (E30 pin #2) signals from the sender or it won't work properly.

im using the e36 oil level sender, would this work the same way as the e34 one?

Does anyone have a picture of the e34 oil level wiring? I am about to buy what I think is the right sensor/wires but I want to make sure it is the right thing before I buy it.
