Sorry if this question has already been answered somewhere else but I’ve been looking for hours online and haven’t had any luck finding an answer. I’m in the process of m50 swapping my 1988 e30 325is using my stock g260 transmission. Can anyone tell me which driveshaft I need to use? I’m assuming I can’t use the stock e30 driveshaft due to the m50 being a bit larger than the stock m20 motor

You will either need to modify the selector rod (the piece that connects the shift lever to the transmission) by heating and twisting 10 degrees or purchase a part that is already modded through the aftermarket.
The rear trans cross-member will need to be fabbed from scratch or purchased in the aftermarket. The stock piece will not work with the new angle of the engine.
I'm assuming you know that the E36 rubber engine mounts will not work and you will need to either use E28 or E34 mounts or go through the aftermarket (AKG, etc).
I have an extra Garagistic steel cross-member and a UUC DSSR selector rod available - both brand new. PM me if you are interested. I am about an hour North of Louisville.
