    Throttle & cruise cable question

Going to be using the s52 throttle body in my E30 s52 OBD2 swap. Was wondering if I can just replace the current throttle and cruise control cables with the E36 M3 versions? Will they swap out fine on the E30?

You will need the E34 throttle cable, #35411160609. Not sure about cruise control.

The answer is slightly different depending if you're going OBDI or OBDII. OBDI is a bit easier as I believe you can use the e34 cable as previously mentioned. OBDII requires a little bit more work. I've got a post around here somewhere from when I converted mine (I'm running OBDII).

Thanks for the reply. This is exactly the information I was looking for, as I am converting to OBD2. I already have an E34 cable on my car right now with the M50 OBD1 set up, but I was trying to make sure I understand the correct way of connecting throttle and cruise control in this new OBD2 environment. The end of the E30 for cable has a long solid metal piece that will not curve around the throttle body spring like it would on an s52. This is why I was curious to know if you could just use an s52 throttle cable on an OBD2 conversion?
