    Can't shift

It just got really cold in NY and suddenly it is impossible to get into any gear. I can shift when the car is off but not when it's running and also my clutch pedal seems to feel a little bit softer. My clutch was perfectly fine and now all of a sudden I can't shift.
    Any suggestions ?

Could be flywheel/pressure plate sticking to the clutch and not disengaging.

Try to start it in gear, clutch in. That usually pops it apart.

    Been sitting for a bit?

You're clutch hydraulics are not engaging. Start with the checking the slave and master for leaks and if you haven't flushed your brake fluid regularly (or ever) then with these temperatures there is the possibility for your fluid to freeze if it has an excessive amount of moisture in it.

What robert said. Could have moisture in it that has now frozen in the lines
