So with a cutoff tool i trimmed the fan down to about 13". I sanded down the edges a bit to mimic the factory cuts. Its not perfect but seems pretty well balanced. Due to the angle of the engine it would rub the bottom of the radiator. I flipped it around to the other side of the clutch and everything clears including the vanos. I am not sure how efficient this will be but with extended idling it stayed about 1/2 way between 1/2 and 3/4. With just the aux fan it would sit at 3/4. That being said, it was only 50 degrees out. I am going to add some water wetter and see where i end up.
Could be good enough as i don't deal with much traffic. I am thinking my next step would be to have the aux fan run only in high speed or try the backwards euro fan.
