keep or remove abs on a twincam swap?

HAve any of you removed the abs system when you did your twincam swap? Would there be any compelling reasons to keep it besides the obvious? My car won't be a daily driver, and I'm tempted to yank the abs pump and extra lines to clean up the engine bay and make room for a custom airbox.

-Well I'm going to go ahead and state the aforementioned "obvious"... that with newfound power you might want to stop in the rain one day...

well since it's not his daily driver i dont think he'll be driving in the rain much, so it shouldn't be a problem. More power doenst' necessarily mean your'e going to be going 100mph faster than with the old engine, just means your'e going go to faster in a shorter distance. I kept my abs in with the swap though, it still works so it's staying in.

I once flat spotted a set of tires on my old 318i at about 100mph (yes the 318i can go that fast). It ruined my tires and my day at the track was over. With sticky tires on my e30 m3 I usually can't get into the abs - needs bigger brakes and the abs is staying. YMMV

Battery tray on early cars is on the passenger side against the firewall. This was the original battery location prior to 6 cylinder cars. On Vert's it still is.

Yeah, just move it to the trunk. That will free up tons of room under the hood. It's easy to bend and flare new brakelines.
