Alternator Excitor Wiring?? (Help me please)

Hey r3v, I have my swap nearly complete, but the battery keeps dying. I know my alternator is good but I'm not getting 12V at the exciter terminal. The wiring under my dash has been messed with a bit, and I'm not certain how the circuit works.

I've found this blue and brown disconnected wire which I think goes to the alternator?



Can I simply supply 12V to this and my problem will be solved? Or could that lead to overcharging of the battery or something..

Any help and insight is appreciated :D
