e30 + spare m50 = ?

hello all, so i just got my first e30 bout two weeks ago and while looking thru the engines in the back of the shop i found an m50, wondering from you all, should i use it, (ran when it came in, headgasket leak) or keep hunting an s50 to do up? just looking for real world usage, i will trade for parts to get my s50 setup im planning on if anyone is interested, will trade for any s50 swap related components

You can always get a turbo kit for the M50.
