    I thought about taking out the windows in the doors because they are always down when its on the track anyways. Glass is heavy, plus there's the weight of the motors and associated hardware.

        Yeah i just replaced my dash too its a pain in the butt thats how i know about all the sound deadening behind the dash , i left it cause i think it helps to keep the dash from rattling and moving around.

            My car ('85 320i, M50tu, AC) with driver (65 kg/144 lb) and 1/2 tank of fuel:

            Front:660 kg. 1455 lbs. 54%
            Rear:560 kg. 1235 lbs. 46%
            Total:1220 2690 100%

              weighed my car on the way home today and it came out to 2600 even with 1/4 tank of gas, along with my boarding gear and tools and books. No A/C, no spare, half a back seat(been lazy to put it back in), full interior, no stereo
