Brought the e30/s50 to the strip.

Never drag raced in my life, and my 60' times show it.

Car is down probably 20hp from what it should be due to the crappy center section and my hot air filter mounted directly to the MAF. I also didn't mess with tire pressures or any weight reduction.

    Enough with the excuses.

    Best out of 5 runs:
    60' ... 2.199
    1/8 ... 9.015
    MPH ... 81.60
    1/4 ... 13.857
    MPH ... 101.14

So basically, lots of room for improvement. I had a friggin blast though.

Get your 60ft down and you'll be doing alot better. Good times though , i might run the 1/4 mile tomorrow too but i just installed the obd2 headers and seems like the car doesnt feel as strong . I hate getting used to the power plus the weather is getting cooler.

Did you run from idle? That's a pretty good trap speed.

You should post in the swap 1/4 mile thread!

Did you measure the ports on the two manifolds? A good friend of mine (and BMW shop owner) has and repeatedly told me that the ports on the cast manifolds are measurably larger...Although I have not seen this personally.

Good run on the 13.8 Brew.

I can measure the ports, since i have both manifolds off the car right now.

Ports on the cast manifold are noticeably bigger so i took the exhaust manifold gasket and traced it onto the stainless obd2 manifold oh yeah and polished them a little too.

Nah, I just couldn't launch for shit. My rear tires were at like 34 psi, and the track was extremely slick because of all the jackasses driving through the water box with treaded tires.

aeryk7 did you have any clearance issues with the obd2 manifolds and the down pipes hitting the subframe, if not how much room do you have down there before it hits the subframe?

Man i dont even want to get started on clearance . I had better clearance with the cast manifold thats for sure . God it was such a PITA to put those damn things on. To tell you the truth it almost wasnt worth the aggrevation.

A good muffler shop can fit the mid-pipe to the S52 manifolds - no problem.

Thats what i did. Along with disconnecting the sway bar link and control arm to fit the obd1 center section
