I've got s52 headers connecting to a s50 cat section. It was not easy getting it in the car. If there was an easy way to remove the studs from the head, it might not be too bad. I found it impossible to bolt the s52 header to the head and then connect the center pipe. And, it was also impossible to bolt the cat section to the header and then get it connected to the head. I was finally able to get it in by connecting them together at the same time. It's a puzzle - you need to push the s52 header onto the head studs while you get the center pipe to fall into the header studs. I managed to do it entirely by myself on my back. Now that I know how to do it, I can probbaly do it again without too much pain. Be sure to disconnect the sway bar links first. Clearance to the CA bushing was the only major problem. My exhaust guy dimpled the pipe to give some more clearance.

Performace is fantastic. It's possible I'm down on power, but it doesn't feel like it. My poor 98 e36 m3 used to feel fast, but it's not nearly as quick as this frickin e30 rocket. My tires are going to start taking a toll since this thing is sometimes hard to hook-up through 1st gear - in a staight line.
