Code 1281?

    Code 1281?

    Finally got the new engine into the car and it runs well. However, I have a check engine light on for code 1281 which is "1281 Control Unit Memory Supply". Anyone else with this issue? Haven't played with it too much due to time constraints and tags that are two years out. Need the light to go away so I can smog it.

      A quick google search shows others solving the issue by grounding the engine better and/or fixing loose battery connections. Others also just cleared the code and it didn't come back.

      I'm kind of assuming you did that already, but worth a look.

          Yeah I have that a shot and now it just won’t start at all. Which is worse than where I was at unfortunately. Anyone else ever run into this?
