    Cams

Anybody know if the M50 2.5 non-vanos cams have a higher valve lift than the M52 2.8?

Im planning on using a 2.8 alloy block with my 2.5 non-vanos head, just trying to find out if the pistons are likely to hit the valves

I know on the stock nonvanos intake cam, i believe the valve lift is like 10.5 or 10.2 mm or something (whatever they measure lift in)

      Stock NV M50 cams are:

      Intake: 244 w/ 9.7 lift

      Exhaust: 244 w/ 9.0 lift

You should be fine unless you plan on shaving the head to increase compression.
