So, let me undersatnd this...you need to make a wire switch when you turn on the key? What normally turns this wire on?
If you want to do this, get a normal SPST relay from any car stereo shop. If you want, call my buddy Jeremy Williams at Stereo King on 82nd ave. EVERY car stereo installer has 5 or 6 in their toolbox, or has them in stock. Should be about $5.00 or less.
Here is what you want for wiring:
Pin 85 AND pin 30: ground
Pin 86: +12V from ignition (make sure it stays live when your are cranking the starter, so I would use green from the ignition switch)
Pin 87: ground signal to your ECU.
This entire project should take you about 10 minuites, or 2 beers.

no... my problem is grounding, i'm not sure if the o2 heater should always be on or not. the thign is i have it grounded so it is always on when the car is running, fuel pump isn't that big of an issue since i will always need fuel, but the heater.....should it always be on or does the dme turn it off. i'm guess it's a switched ground for a reason?

I'm strugling with with similar problem with my friends l-jet -> motronic 1,1 swap.
I believe that some wire in your harness adapter(don't know what kind you used) is not connected on proper pin.
My friend has been runnig his relay jump grounded for few months. I'll get back to you if there will be any progress.Current:
