k well i have a friend were i can get this non-vanos m50 he has wiring harness, ecu, and 5 speed tranny. but he wants 1800 canadian but the only good thing is he lives a block from where i live so elliminates anyshipping or dutie prices from finding one. its been sitting in his garage probably for about 4 years packaged up i really dont think the oil was ever changed out but supposedly it has 130,000miles on it was running prior from being removed. also when i go over what type of things should i look for leakes head gasket, front and rear main seals? im used to the m20. just who ever has a m50 what should i look for when i go to look at it. i could probably get him down to 1500.
good deal?

If its been sitting for 4 years, I'd look elsewhere...
The lifters a probably shot, gaskets are going to need to be replaced. It'll be more money then you think.91 m3 -
i paid under $200 for my motor, wireing harness, and ecu. im not sure what 1800CDN is in USD.
i would deffinatly look so see how dirty it is, id also look at the oil, maybe drain it. also my cylinder 3 and 4 had oil in the sparks, so the o-ring is shot. if you plan on doing a swap deffinatly rebuild the motor like im going to do. you dont wanna pull it out again for something that could have been preventedComment
