What exhaust setup are u running?

Ok, I'm in the process of swappin the m50 in,but cant decide on what exhaust route i should take.So far I have obd II headers comin in...

If you guys can post your exhaust setup that you have and what motor it is
that would be great, so future swap guys like myself can get a idea of what options there are..also please post price if you remember..

If you could use the format so we can keep it organized.

    Ex:

    Engine:
    Exhaust Manifold:
    Midpiping:
    Piping Size:
    Cat:
    Muffler:

    And any sound clips,if possible..

    Thanks!

maybe the thread title should be changed to "swaped exhaust thread" it would be easier to find in the search.

    : m50nv
    : obd2
    : obd2 m3 pipes
    : y-pipe before cat to single 2.5
: 2.5 in/out magnaflow cat flanged for removal to fit a 14" magnaflow round
4" muffler in place, for racing purposes;)
    : magnaflow 18" single 2.5 in/out

          Engine: s52
Exhaust Manifold: obd2 (welded plates over air holes.) (bolt in o2 ports)
          Midpiping: aa whacked up

Muffler: aa gen3 ($400 used / 650 new) whacked up to fit
i would guess $800 labor to make system fit though.

Drove that car, rode in that car, one of the best sounding swapped cars I have been in. If I'm lucky mine will sound like that one day!

                Engine: s52
Exhaust Manifold: U.S. supersprint longtube copies
                Midpiping: Burns Stainless X-pipe
                Piping Size: Factory OBDII
Cat: Stock cut out, replaced with euro metallic cats
                Muffler: E36 M3 Stromung

A little effort was required to make it fit the e30 chassis perfectly (really not all that much. It fit fine with all factory OBDII stuff, I just made it fit better when I got the headers). It's still a complete bolt/unbolt system. Headers --> x-pipe --> OBDII midsection with metallic cats --> unmodified e36 m3 stromung

Also nice and quiet around town, pretty mean at WOT. I'll get some sound clips next spring.

                  Engine: S52
Exhaust Manifold: Euro 2 piece headers
                  Midpiping: Custom S/S "x-pipe"
                  Piping Size: 63mm
                  Cat: Who?
                  Muffler: E36 M3 Remus

The only mod I made besides the Treehouse Racing "Eyeball" mounts to clear the headers was using some ovalized piping to clear the rearend crossmember. Sounds mildly throaty with the cams and all at idle, but just plain mean under WOT....love it.

                    Engine: s50
                    Exhaust Manifold: s52
Midpiping: stock s50 dimpled to clear stock cab
Piping Size: stock - dual ~1.75"
                    Cat: stock s50
                    Muffler: Borla e30 m3 - dual 1.75"

Be sure to use the s52 header gasket with the s52 header. The Borla might be a little on the restrictive side, but the car is fast. Sounds great. Nice deep sounding brap under load and no droning on the highway.
