This is a spin-off from the Post Your Engine Bay thread discussion on TonyTony's radical coolant location, which has set off a few, including myself to dig further into a possible location freeing up the cluttered area where the ABS is located

My fav: OEM M3 expansion tank, and OEM location.
S14, but you get the idea. I've seen in quite a few times with M/S5Xs.

put a coolant hose in front of the aux fan to keep the engine bay clutter down, used two alumium L-shaped coolant pipes to go around the corners with no kinks. I pulled the motor to do some bodywork, I might do it differently the second time around. I had no issues with coolant temp or pressure, using a 16psi cap I thinkComment

I did pretty much the same thing as 1990m3 did just i used the stock reservior, originally planned to route it behind the enigne but space was tight. it's working fine so far and the coolant hose is not as close to the manifold as one would think.

Tnx ;)
The size of the rad is the same as from a e36 325i racecar of a friend of mine. We had a small discussion in the engine bay thread and some thought that the US size might differ from the size of the Euro radiator. Don't know for sure though.E30 Euro-S50B30 Tracktoy
