Question: wiring alternator and starter

Yep, my wiring arrangement was to remove the E36 split power wire and use the E30 starter wire.

I also had a large jumper wire that went from the starter hot lug to the hot on the alternator. This is the arrangement that I've seen so far on 2 E36s--a 94 325i and a 1/95+ M3.

It doesn't really matter how it all goes together... you can either use the e30 stuff again or the e36 stuff.

I ran both the driver's side positive cables to my starter, as well as the jumper to the alternator. Then I hooked the passenger side hot cable to the power block.

Basically, just make sure you have big ass cables connecting your alternator to your starter to your battery/power dealie.
