    brake booster vacuum valve

On my m20 there was like a valve/regulator in the hose that went from my intake manny to booster. I have also seen these on e36's.

On my m50 I just have a straight hose going to the booster. My question is do I need to have that valve?

7/8 are the same unit, just different shapes, one is at 90* other is straight. You dont need both.

You should have one on there yes. Most time its attached to the booster, otherwise the line has nothing to go onto. How do you have it on there without one?

if your engine dies while you are driving....do you want power assisted brakes? check valve holds vacume in the booster even when vacume is not present in the manifold. i vote yes. (ever try to stop an e30 without power assisted braked? its very difficult.)

            cheers, jason
