Will this LSD Ratio Be allright

    I have a 89 e30 320i that I've put a 92 nonvanos 2.5ltr m50 in.
I'm currently running a 3.64 open differential and have bought myself a 2.93:1 LSD.

My question is... Should I swap the Centre out of the LSD into my 3.64 or just bolt the 2.93 in? Bare in mind I'm using my original e30 ZF 5spd (southafrican built e30) and m20 flywheel and clutch, starter setup.

Will the 2.93 give me higher top speed and lack acceleration or is it the other way round.... I forget

Since you have a S. African ZF e30 tranny, I don't know what the gear ratios are so it is hard to say exactly what differential to put in.

You are right though. The 2.93 will give you a higher top speed, but less acceleration.

You will have crap acceleration with that mate. Its a good diff though, if I were you id get hold of the box that goes with that M50 youve got, it will be perfect then.
You can use your flywheel and clutch but you will need an E30 320 propshaft

yeah nah I've got it all together and its running good with my current setup so I want to stick with my e30 trans.

So how much of a difference in accelleration will it make??
So will I be better just swapping the lsd centre into my current diff??

        Thanks for advice...:D
