Cracked open my S50 these engines are built to last.

Well here are some pics of mt S50 with 188k on it. I plan to do new rings main and rod bearings and tensioners. Anyone have a good source for Rings? Check out the factory cross hatching in the cylinders after 188k and no lip what so ever.

Give them fresh oil every now n then and they'll keep on tickin'.

My M52 with 140k, and apparently no oil changes ever by the previous owner looked much the same way.

The M10 in my 2002 had barely any wear at all either with almost 300k miles... Same with my 200k mile m20 in my turbo car.

Yeah, they run great until they don't anymore.

Is that like finding something in the last place you look?

They're built to last as long as you don't overheat them or overrev them.

                  Or both, like my M50.
