    Turbo Clearance

I there anyone up here running a gt35 or bigger with a bottom mount manifold. If so did you have any clearance issues with anything other than the motor mount.

FYI, I have seen an aftermarket E36 motor mount arm designed to give more clearance for a turbo on the E36. It might have been AA or something.

There are a couple aftermarket mount arms for turbo clearance. My favorite is the TRM arm. It's not out yet, but heres a pic of the prototype.

http://www.racersmarket.net/catalog/ also has the SPA turbo manifold, which mounts it low and to the rear of the engine, and it fits great in e30/M50s.

The motor mount you are thinking of is a cartech motormount

The boostlogic arm is ugly and the cartech arm is ugly and heavy.

Contact the guy behind TRM, who designed that motor mount. He can do a remote tune for the stock ECU on a turbo car. He goes by techno550 on here and bimmerforums.

I mocked up a SPA manifold on my engine. Only issue I see (and hear) would be running a 4 inch inlet pipe. That would hit the mount. I think anything under 3 inches would fit just fine with it. Otherwise, I could see a gt35r fitting in there without many issues.
