What gas mileage are the m50e30s seeing? Not really all that important, but i figured it could reinforce the justification of doing the swap if I was helping the environment/my wallet.

Probably depends on gearing. But friend of mine gets 24 city 30 highway. -
shit man, mine sucks. I get like 19mpg around town driving with lots of throttle input. I hurt my own cause though because I'm using a 3.46 diff and I have the 24lb injectors and 3.5" HFM, all those will reduce your gas mileage. That is on a '95 s50 motor. i get about 230-250 miles per tank usually.

I filled up the other day and calculated 19, my worst so far, got some wet weather at the moment though so its arse out at every opportunity:-)
Can get 30 on Motorway (high way) unless I take it over 80/90 for any length of time

nv m50 drove 62miles after the light came on. so i'm guessing about 30mpg for the hwy. 260 getrag 3.73 diffComment

M50 Vanos - stock chip
E36 Trans
3.46 LSD
18 - 21 mpg around town. Acceleration was great, but turned over 4K at 80mph on the highway. 3.46 was a great track diff, but was probably too many rev's for daily driving.Comment
