    Idle Revs in braking

Anyone experiencing idle revs when pushing the brake pedal firmly when coming to a complete stop. This used to happen in my e36 m3 too but it seemed more only when the clutch was pushed in, it happens either in this case . People have told me ICV for this problem aswell

How high does the idle rev? Do you mean that when you brake to a stop and push in the clutch it kind of dips to about 400-500RPM and bounces up to 800RPM a few times before it settles? I have that sometimes too

My brothers eta does that too and were were told it was the ICV. It doesn't do it during the summer though, just the cold.

Clean your ICV, mine did the same thing. I cleaned it and the problem went away.

my buddies m52 started doing that in the summer would dip down to almost stall then would immediatly jump back up to 1000. i knew it was the icv and told him to clean it but we were on vacation so we said fuck it. anyways we were on the highway going home so i told him to take it for a burn and get rid of some of that carbon bild up in the motor we ended up going just about 240km/h and to tell u the truth it has never done it since its been about 5 months. or u can just clean it.

                    NO BRAKE CLEANER!

                    Use CRG electronics cleaner.
