umm, no it doesn't, it cuts spark to cylinders, it also has a soft cut, and a hard cut
here is a vid of a friends M3R (1 of only 15 ever made) he bought it brand new in '95, and has done nearly 100,000miles in it, mostly tarmac rallies, autox and track days, this is how it has been driven its whole life
I drive mine the same, but have only had it for nearly 3 years, and only done about 40,000 miles in it since, neither car has had any sort of engine problem
