for those who have used the m42 rad, did you use the m42 hoses to the tstat housing or opt for m20 or m50 hoses? just wondering before i go ahead and purchase more parts.

I am using the e36 hoses from a euro 325 that uses the same radiator. If you cross reference on realoem you will see that euro e36 325 cars used the same radiator as a US e30 318is. I bought the hoses for the euro application and they fit alright. You'd probably be better off just getting a 90degree hose for the upper radiator and cutting it to length. The lower one fits well though, it's a little shorter than the US m50 hose that I started with. Been running it for about a month and no problems so far. It's winter here so it stays cool, but I'm going to install my aux elec. fan and try it throughout the summer too. Really cleans up the engine bay with the coolant tank as one piece.
