LS1 into e28

Hey,
I'm new here but I've recently decided i want to pickup another e28 to swap in a LS1 + t56 combo. I know they have been to e30/36 but haven't ever heard of in the e28 chassis. If anyone has any information that'd be appreciated.

Not ls1, but my friend is installing BMW M60b40 with e39 M5 6 spd on his e28:



EDIT:link to complete story, started as 528i, in year 2004. Languge is something that 99% of you certaily don't understand :)

Someone has done it to an E24 chassis which is roughly the same from 1982 onwards as the E28 chassis. www.BMWe28v8.org should have a link to this guy's project somewhere. ...Or not... Just search for BMW E24 LS1 on google, it should turn up.
