    m50 ??

    im about to start my swap in a few weeks and im looking for some info. i was wondering with the m50b25 engine what flywheel do i use the m20b25 single mass flywheel or do i have to us the m50 one? also if i use a 14" pusher fan in front of the radiator do i still
    need a later model e30 radiator or can i use my 1987 325 radiator?

    Yes the M20 I flywheel will work with it's given cluch assembly and so will the 86E flywheel with it's clutch assembly...I don't know about the fan. Try the monster M50 swap thread. You did read it didn't you.....maybe not.

      i skimmed thru it, but about the fan ppl say theres only 7mm between the rad and m50 fan. so thats why i asked if it would work to have a fan in front of teh rad as a pusher and save the room from front of crankshaft pulley to rad.
      and about the clutch i was just reading a thread posted recently about flywheels. and i got to thinking.

        Some people are running without the fan. They all seem to be doing fine. But if you can fit a fan in there, it's a good idea. I believe some peole are using a slim fan or a skinny radiator as well.

          i used the M44 clutch fan and appropriate clutch, not sure if its the e30 or m50 ones. you would also need to switch the fan backwards, i dunno how to explain this so that the fan will sit just about right in between the tight space
