which coolant hose between rear of engine and heater core?

I'm wondering what hose you guys used to connect the heater core outlet on the firewall to the port on the rear of the head? I bought the e36 hose, but it doesn't have the 90 degree bend in it that the etk hose shows. when i try to bend it, it kinks and would obviously restrict coolant flow.
any suggestions? will the stock e30 hose fit? thanks.

I used the M20 hose. I ran into the same problem you did. I bent the heater core pipes a tad as well, to make it easier to access the hose clamps.

I cut and had my pipes tig welded at a better angle for the intake manifold
