    Coolent Temperature Sensor

I really need some help on this one, there are two wires coming out of the coolent temp sensor, one is violet and brown and the yellow and brown. The brown and violet one is connected to pin 4 on the 318is. The brown and yellow wire is going to ground, is this correct my temperature gauge is not working.

You also need to use the (brown) E30 temp sender.

You replace the M50 sender with an E30 sender (M50 is the wrong resistance). You then connect the brown/violet wire to the single pin on the E30 sender. You don't need the brown/yellow wire.
