Where to find e36 car side of wiring harness

Where did you guys get your wiring harness's for the adapter? I am looking for the car side of the harness out of an e36 so I can finish my swap. My guess is that I'll have to search wrecking yards and stuff, but any help would be great. Also does anyone have a wiring diagram for an '87 325is with the s50 swap, since i noticed most of them are for '88 and above? Thanks.

You might be able to order the plug from the dealer, but I don't know the part number or how much it would cost. If you can find e36s in a yard that would be the best bet. Maybe you could find someone who would be willing to cut it out for you.

I don't really know what you could do other than that, I just used a THR adapter.

go to a junkyard with a pair of wire cutters and cut one out of a car.

Most don't touch the e30 car side. They usually splice the e30 motor side harness onto the e36 motor harness.

You can buy both engine and chassis side of both the e30 and e36 connectors. They arent expensive. You can get the pins also, and both connectors use the same pins.

I think the best way to do it is to put an e30 engine connector on the motor harness.

You could have found this information by searching... I have posted it before.

I bought a new E30 engine side connector and pins. Easy and very clean solution.

I know I can just splice the e30 engine harness adapter on there, but I don't want to do that. I will if I have to, but what I want to do is make an adapter with the e36 car side, and e30 engine harness.

What I did was get the body side connector off of a car and a engine side connector for the harness you are using. then splice the two together so that you plug one side into the engine harness, and one side plugs into your body harness
