Confirmation on using e36 M3 driveshaft.

I searched and looked through several threads reading up on which driveshafts will work with the s50/ZF swap. One member said he used the e36 m3 driveshaft without any problems...but that's as far as the discussion went.

So can anyone confirm this, because I don't trust listening to just one guy.

    Here's what GRAPE DRINK quoted:

Well I just checked today and the E36 M3 driveshaft with my E36 M3 trans and E30 diff all work together. No need to buy an E30 M3 one.

e36 M3 transmission; it's beefier, but adds a weight penalty. In addition, it is necessary to acquire either an e30 M3 5-speed driveshaft or a '97 e36 M3 5-speed driveshaft.

a driveshaft from a 328i would work too i think..the earlyier ones though before they switched to the CV style.

Thanks guys...I think that it'll be easiest to find a 97+ e36 m3 driveshaft. Just wish I could use my own...

Make sure you get the right bolt pattern.

My differential is a 4-bolt, but the guy I bought my engine package from sent a 6-bolt driveshaft. Now I'm looking for a 4-bolt driveshaft.

                Found a 4-bolt from a 99 m3 for $185 shipped. Good price?

Sounds pretty good to me. I've seen them for $200 without shipping.

I picked a 328i driveshaft at $175 from Harouts in Sun Valley.
