Got the motor!

Hey, im starting to put everything together for my M50 swap. What oil pan will i need? and will i need everything that goes in that oilpan or can i use the guts from my m50 oilpan? also i want to use the 93 325i diff that i got from the car i gotten the motor out of. Also my car is a 84 318i

I don't want to sound harsh, but all of the information you asked about has already been addressed in numerous threads. Do some basic research and come back with your questions.

Ya dont ask to many questions people get very cranky, i have already done this, they dont like re-stating what has been staded.
But for the oil pan you need an E34 525i oil pan and the oil pick up for an E34 M50 motor, basicly (the M50 was in the 3 and the 5 seires in the 525 only) but if your motor came out of a 325 you will need to cut the metal tab that the old oil pick up was mounted on, the E34 oil pan wont clear it, i just ran into this two days ago unless some one else knows any thing easier??
this will be said lots to you but its true its all out here it just takes lots of time.

Thanx guys! i pretty much have it all down but i was just curious about the oil pan. So i can use the 3 series pick up and alll that but just install it in the 5 series? right?

For the oil pan you need the pick up from the e34 as well as the pan and I believe the oil dipstick.

No, you need the 5-series oilpan, oil pump pickup, dipstick tube and dipstick.

Yea

Yea the dip stick is what i forgot but yes the e34 pan, pickup, and dipstick
