Groub buy on treehouse racing adapters?

Anybody looked into this? I am going to need to proceed with my swap a little sooner than expected so I need to gather the rest of my stuff. Would be nice to save a buck or 2.

I have one I don't plan on using. PM me if you want it $360 shipped.

Aren't they custom made for different applications? I just picked up my non vanos M50 and tranny from an e36 produced in 06/92 to go in my 89 E30 325i. Also I plan on using the ix booster and e36 tranny so.... Will the stock i master cylinder bolt up or do I need an e36 one? And if I am using the e36 trans I shouldn't have to shave the e34 oil pan since I'm using the e36 fly right?

Yes, they are custom made. Or atleast there are different models for different applications.

Would you please search? For God's sake, just search the forum. Honestly, you can probably find the answers to your questions just on the first page of this forum.

I did search and honestly with all the "Oh this works!" and the " No that doesn't" I could draw any definitive answers. I read 40 pages of the DOHC thread and it is really overwhelmed with BS and should be edited down. ;)
All I need to know is : What booster can I use to get out the cheapest route and maintain semi stock specs(IX booster with i master) Do I need to machine the oil pan or not( I'm thinking no since I am using all e36 stuff, tranny, fly , starter. ) And will the s50 intake cam swap work? Any one done this?

Just goto Treehouse's web page. Someone has tried to undercut THR's product but found out it wasn't that easy and THR support is outstanding.

You can read the public wiki at www.e30dohc.com/wiki . The DOHC Swap Basics article answers common questions.

After installing the 525 oil pan on the engine and dropping the engine in the car there is minimal clearance between the pan and the steering rack. Maybe enough to slip a piece of paper between them. Maybe. I'm not too concerned given the rigidity of the M5 engine mounts.

Other than that, it went on without any issues whatsoever.

Search issues aside, the one I have is built for running an S50 into an '88 M3. When I talked to Jon after deciding to not use it, he said that there were 3 different body side applications, and I don't know what the engine side differences are, if any. Since we all are still going OBD1, and as long as M50 & S50 are the same, then I doubt there are any differences.

For anyone interested, Jon told me he would help sell mine for me, so just give him a call to see if mine fits your application. He's totally cool with that, and you'll save ~$50. Mines brand new, never installed. '88 M3 to S50.

After talking to the guys at Treehouse they said that the 320i booster will accept my 325i mc, and that the e36 cam swap is to use a vanos intake cam and move the intake to exhaust. Then get the $349 Turner chip which will put me around 250chp.
