Easy way to tell what the brake booster is from?

On my '89 325 with an M50 that I bought, the intake touches the brake booster. What I'm asking, I guess, is if there is any obvious way to tell if the booster is from the '89, or is from a 320i?

part numbers. and then realoem.com it.
