In a year or 2 yea. These pans are hard to find so when I found one at a decent price I decided to jump on it. I already sent payment. My boss has an m50 non vanos at work thats been sitting in the back of the shop for a loooooong time. Eventually, I'll wave $300 in his face and see if he takes it. Then I'll rebuild it before it goes in.

That sat at 90 bucks forever. I had that in my watch file.

The guy had it at $99.00 or whatever and I bid in little increments until I was ahead at 103.50. Then I had the laptop refreshing the auction right up till the end. With 10 seconds to go I confirmed a bid at $130.99 just in case he was watching it and gonna snipe in at the last minute. He wasnt watching evidently.

That's exactly the reason for a bid sniper, bid once so you don't have to hang out forever watching it. But nice snag.

Car-parts.com is a great resource for finding 525 oil pans. I paid $100 shipped for one out of a yard in Oakland. Make sure you get the pickup built for that pan.

I love how purchasing something on auction is deemed a "win". Granted you might be saving money, but in my mind if you won something, you don't pay.

Sorry back to topic, nice oil pan. Get a scraper and a motor, and you'll be set.

That's actually not a bad price for the oil pan, and it looks to be in good shape. Mine was caked with residue.

This and the missing mounting arms were two of the hardest parts to find.

Well you are competing against other peoples, so yes it is a win. You win the privelage to purchase it.

I got an entire M50 non-vanos for $300 at the local bone yard. I'm going to keep an eye out for more so see if I can collect some intakes and oil pans.
