you need the pump and you can use the e36 or the e30 res with the lines from the respective res that you use... the e36 steup looks cleaner in the e30 if that matters to you

Ok, but hey just an idea, has any one thoguht of just getting a pully for the E36 pump and just putting it one the E30 pump, and then putting it on the M50/ what ever you have?
I havent really started my swap yet im still gathering parts so i dont know if the E30 pump fits on the M50 or if the pully would fit on the pump to begin with. Any thoughts or has any one tried this or am i just really being a and this is not posible??

My motor came with a 36 pump attached, and I plan to use it with a pulley. The only thing I get out of your last statement means that you bought a M50, and it was minus the PS pump. Aside from that as a conclusion, I couldn't understand your last posting. I've been called slow before, so you ain't hurting my feelings if you care to break it down for my simple mind to get ahold of.

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

Oh but yes my engine is minus a pump as I got the engine from a friend that OBD1 S52'd his E36 and used every thing from the M50 that was in car or on the motor, so i have had to buy every thing for the motor just to get it back to orig plus some.
So no it doesnt have a pump it was left in his car and i dont thing the one from the donor car is at the shop any more but not for sure.
