I suggest taking the manifold off and wiring harness off. It will help you learn to diagnose in the long run. You also get to replace a bunch of vac. hoses and gaskets.

I would leave it on lol, its a real PITA getting the fuel system hooked up and the new intake manifold on when its in, there is NO ROOM against the firewall to bolt stuff up easily, it can be done, but its easier if its already on.
If I did it again, I would put the intake manifold on the engine then drop it in, at the same time I would take the fuel rail off and hook that up, then bolt that to the intake manifold when the engine is in. It took me about a solid hour just to hook up 1 fuel line, just because I had to work all by feel and there was very very little room to wedge my hand back there.Rollin' with a Geistkuchen

Good point it, seems there are pros and cons of doing this both ways
thanks for the help guys. Im still debating, the last post makes a good point that there is notmuch room at the back of the fir wall to do much but then again if its already on it makes it hard to hook up the booster and stuff.

If you put it in with the manifold, definately dont do it with the booster in. You'll never ever get the heater core hose on.

Ok so really it just a matter of what you want in there first the booster or the manifold bolted on. In your guys view is it harder to get the booster all set up with the manifold all in. Or would it be harder the pu the booster in then try and get the fuel rail in there with the inject. and harness clips and what not it.???
