    85 318i Speedometer wire

    Hi,

Thanks to the information and help from this site, we're almost done with a M50/e30 swap. The motor is ready to go in, minus pilot bearing, and the wiring is ready for testing, except for 2 things: I am having trouble locating the speedometer wire. Can someone help me out here, its a 3/85 build date 318i. Also, I have yet to figure out / wire up the O2 heater. Any direct instructions on that or a link to it?

    Thank you in advance,
    Roman

Here is the ETM for that car, it will/should answer every question you have.

Thanks James. I have the actual BMW ETM for the 85 318/325e, my problem was with finding the information. Since I made the post I am *pretty sure* that what I'm looking for is the black/tach and green/speedo wire in a 3 pin connector that is by the ECU mount. I will verify this in the ETM, but I'm pretty sure these are the right wires from others experiances.

Heh, its a 84, but he couldn't help, he did none of the wiring himself ;) He was over last night and standing around looking pretty, not helping with the car ;)
