I doubt it's a torsen, I seem remember it acted like an open diff in my buddy's car, until wheelspin induced lockup, correct? My drive cuffs aren't completely open as it lays on the floor in the garage, so I expect it's a VC style then.one is a Torsen the other is a normal style like we have.

Well I swapped out the diff last night from a 4.10 open to a S3.25 out of an E28 535is auto. I must say it was a pain in the ass lining up the four bolt holes on the subframe.
What a difference! It actually feels great on the pull and revs are 3,200@70mph. I also removed that vibration damper thing since it was rubbing on the shift linkage. I hope to post some good #'s
MPG that is. :p:nice:Originally posted by 325Projectzdon't listen to the diagram... listen to mr. swiss.Comment

Anyone know what is required when swapping the Mcoupe 3.15 diff from an s54 car into an e30? Will the stub/output shafts slide into and bolt up to the diff?
Will the pinion flange from the e30 fit onto this diff?
Will the speed sensor pickup work the same?
Here are pics of the M diff.

Reuse the output flanges from your diff and it will be plug and play. You might need to swap the speed sensor as well.Comment
