    Anyone using no booster?

I'm curious if anyone has just gone to manual brakes. No booster and an aftermarket MC.

How's the pedal feel? Stopping power still good? Any regrets?

Using the 320i booster I think my pedal sucks compared to what it was. Maybe I still have some air in my lines I dunno but it is hella stiff.

im running manual brakes with a stock master cyl and modified linkage..pedal is very stiff, but decent

oh...my only regret is that the brake pedal might be too stiff. I have not completely finished my braking system yet, still have to install my Massive Brake and convert to rear disks (I currently have rear drums). If this doesn't work, I will probably build an adapter to run dual masters.

Chief, if you had air in your lines, that would make it have a soft pedal

Well it still pulls to one side when I brake hard and never did before. Think I need to adjust the pedal and maybe it will get better.

Why? It would free up a lot of space.

Trent, do you have ABS? Did the early 318's even come with it?

I am going with a Tilton setup with bias adjustment for my S50B32 swap. I expect pedal feel to be excellent.

That being said if someone (hint: Mr. Deagle/Mitch :)) comes up with something that will allow dual M/C's with stock pedal, I would be all over it.

Mike, can you post some pictures of this thing? It is ment to attach to a cage? I was assuming it said it bolted to a firewall, the way you made it sound on a different post.

i would assume in order to make a dual mc setup work with stock pedals, then all it would require would be some brackets made up and test fitted. i can make the stuff and make it work well, just don't have the mc's.

Its their firewall mount setup - http://tiltonracing.com/content.php?page=list2&id=4&m=b

VAC has a steel re-inforcement plate that is welded to the firewall and the pedal assembly bolts to the plate. It should be sturdy enough, but for safety purposes another mounting point should be used. Since I don't have a full cage, I may try and time them into the stock mounting points under the dash.

If someone comes up with a setup that would use the stock assembly, I would use it in a heart beat!
