My E34 oil pan doesn't fit... have any of you ever had to modify yours?

It's the oil return paths - too thick and the cutouts to clear them in some E34 oil pans are too shallow.

There's no shame in being wrong - I am everyday. Simple thing that sets us apart is I don't defend my wrongness, I just own it & move on. You haven't chosen to do this so far.

That's how you know you're a real man - when you see your mistakes or lack of knowledge as a learning opportunity (or even a good laugh) and not as a siege against your character, which must be defended to the bitter end. It always amuses me how far the latter will go just to have the last word and (in their mind) upper hand in the argument - it's usually just implications of the other party's homosexuality but sometimes you learn a new, clever insult.
