    m50 rebuild costs

Ok I Searched and couldn't find an answer, does anyone know how much it would cost to rebuild a stock M50?

I've seen rebuild kits go for about $1500 for S50 motor on EBAY I think.

prices are really going to vary...

are you going to rebuild the motor yourself?
are you going to have a machine shop check for straighness?
      new guides? valves? springs?

or are you going for just new seals, with a new hg?

If you have access to WorldPac, you can get everything (minus head bolts and main studs and rod bolts) for just under 1100. Including all the hoses and a few other things...

yeah was going to do tg the work myself(first big project), but sounds like it's just better to find a good low mileage engine and go from there.

why the hell would you rebuild an m50 in the first place?

As time went on, the factory developed the car each year, making it faster, more comfortable, and capable of handling at higher speeds.
You don’t want this. You want the trickiest, most dangerous, oldest model you can find. Only then can you prove to the world that you’re a man.
