    O2 sensor wiring ????

Well in effort to try and tie up some of my post swap issues I tried to wire in athe O2 this weekend. The place I got the motor from ripped the wires for the 02 sensor (both parts of coupler) so I need to know which wires go where, the socket has different colors on it than the car.
I have it hooked up like this and it doesn't work:
    car_____________________________plug______________
solid small green wire>>>>>> green w\ blue stripe
    small black wire >>>>>>>>>>black wire
    small brown wire>>>>>>>>>>brown wire
    small yellow wire>>>>>>>>>>brown wire
    unsheathed >>>>>>>>>>>>>unsheathed

Alright I finally got my M50 sensor when I put in my new fan clutch last night. On the initial run all was well and when I got on the freeway I gunned it a little. Check engine light came on and went off when I got on the highway. All of a sudden total loss of power, I unplugged the sensor and it still wouldn't start. Unplugged batt and reset ECU and all was well sans the sensor. My plug on the body harness got ripped off on the pull by salvage so I got another plug and wired it on. W^T^F I just want a smooth idle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You may have crossed up your ground wires.

Well I had my ecu ground and sig crossed. I had it right on the pin out on the plug but the connector to the O2 went to the wrong wires. All good now. Score another for Master Mike.

Ok before the car would not run with it plugged up,then I rewired it. I got a hold of a Peake tonight and it is throwing a faulty O2 sensor code. :hitler:

The Bosch website says the sensor is black for sig, grey to ground, and the white are for heater. Does the heater wires matter if they are backwards?

Last night I put it up on the lift and double checked the wires, started it and checked the current and it had a -0.45 milliamp. Everything I can find about O2 sensors says that is operating range. No current from the heater wires but I have read those are only active for less than a minute and the car was warm. The damn code reader still keeps throwing a Oxy Sensor code!!!!!

Did you ever find out if the white wires mattered? I had the same problem with mine, no plug on the harness.
