jst connect the 2 hoses goin to the heater core togther.
Yeah, just connect the two hoses together. That's how I bypassed the heater core in my brother's car and that's what I plan to do once I put the engine in my m3.
mine is a a summer only car, and last summer i noticed i almost didn't use heater at all, so...
I took it out to take out the carpet completely (with no cutting) to deaden the tranny tunnel, and just decided to leave heater out (along with it's ugly prehistoric mechanical controls)
This freed up a lot of space under dash, shaved some nose weight (25-30lb perhaps?) and gave me the much needed head unit space for future projects like a display for on-board PC.
.. or maybe one day i'll return the heater back, or get a smaller aftermarket/retrofit one, we'll see.
Because you'll get more flow through the engine that way. If you just bypass the heater core, some of the flow that could be going through the engine will be going through the hoses.
Well i bought a T connector and ran my expansion tank to the T and the other two hoses where they belong on the engine. I have no hoses going to my throttle body however.
