    Cooling system hoses for swap

I've searched to try and find the correct cooling system hose that I need for my S52 obd I swap. I know you can use the m50 upper and lower hoses but don't know what hoses I need for the heater hoses and hose that come off the head. Swap is going into a 89 325i. Want to order my hoses today.

    Thanks

    Kyle

order new stock hoses for the m20 and cut them to length for the heater core. for the hoses to the throttlebody use the e36 hoses.

I'm assuming you are refering to #6. I got lucky with my M50......that hose was still it great condition. Its an expensive one

if you have an s52 it should have come with a metal hardline instead fo the soft no.6 line from the m50... so you dont need the spider. unless of corse you are missing that metal hardline

I coverted to OBDI and then you don't run the hardline hose. So all those hoses it that picture. I get a discount at work.

you dont necessarily need to remove that hard line to go to obd1 on an s52... but if you do you need every hose in that pic above depending on wether you are still putting coolant through your throttlebody.

plus you need an adapter from AA or turner that allows you to attach the rubber spider to where the metal line went into the head.

                    Agreed.

I went OBDI and left the OBDII hard pipe. No reason to swap this out.

Well I already got the adapter from turner and put it on. So I guess I'll get that spider hose, and can I route hose #14 in that diagram to the spider hose and bypass the TB. So no need for #15 right? Thanks for all the help!

nope, i bought hose 15 for nothing, i just cut a piece off and put it on the throttle body heater nipples so no dirt will get in them

11 is a valve that plugs into the airbox you dont have for this swap... you dont need and and cant use it...

You can use it easily. I don't think anyone does.

There's no good reason to bypass the coolant running through the TB either.

How can you use it with no airbox? i suppose you can get the airbox to fit if you really want to
