how much hp loss with e30 exhaust

Hey, I recently finished my s52 e30. Untill I knew what I wanted to do, I decided to use the e30 exhaust and just modify the down piping. Im wondering if anyone has any idea on how much power I am losing compared to an average free flowing system. Also, Im still trying to figure out what Im going to do for the exhaust. I just want to make sure that what ever I do doesn't sound ricy or crazy loud.

well ur probably running rich right now considering the small diameter of ur piping, talk to matt, he knows a lot about exhaust.

Nah, it won't affect the air/fuel ratio.

You will lose a lot of top end with the e30 setup, maybe as much as 50hp. Depends on how you hack up the downpipes and how clogged the cat is. I would guess it will run fine and have plenty of torque until about 3000RPM then fall on its face.

Im thinking about doing stock obd11 manifolds, custom y into 2.5 piping with magnaflow cat, glasspack, then magnaflow muffler in the back. Any thoughts? does this sound like a good setup?

I have that setup with a smaller magnaflow and no glasspack and it's 101db. Thats LOUD.

You will need a HUGE magnaflow and a resonator (not a glasspack) if you want it quiet.

I yelled into the inlet end of my glasspack. It does provide some sound attenuation. Probably not too much though.
