Having problem with power to fuel relay

I connected the main power cable for the relays to the distribution block and this makes the fuel pump work fine. But when I go to start it the starter clicks once and the whole car dies. When I unattach the main relay power cable and hook the battery back up it cranks fine.

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong?

    need more info.
    what year is the car?
in the "run" position, are you getting power out of the main relay? (large red/white wire.)
in the "run" position, does everything inside the car work correctly?
after 30sec, turn key to "run", do you hear the fuel pump working (or are you getting power to fuse 11? (fuel pump should power up, but only for a second.)

    cheers, jason
