Hey, Just kind of throwing around some ideas. Im half thinking of pulling apart my s52 swap and sellin it as a kit for an e30. I have an obd1 s52 zf320 tranny with 3:46 rear. the motor and tranny had about 110k miles on it. put new seals and stuff on it. Dont really feel like writing everything out, but its all in good shape. Thinking of sellin everything needed for the swap plus a couple extra things like m3 rack and wondering what anyone thinks. If Id be better parting it and what kind of price range would be right for everything?

You'd be better off parting it out if you want to make more money. A complete S52 swap kit is worth less than individually parting stuff out, but you'll have a lot more legwork!
I'd say a good deal for an OBD-I engine, trans, driveshaft, and S3.46 is around $3500 - 4000. DME $150.
The booster and master, ~$200 if it is a 25mm MC. E36 M3 rack, around $150 depending on mileage; $100 if it is the 96+ rack.

given the mileage, (kinda high IMO), the whole "kit" is probably worth about 4K
if it were a lower mileage example, with around 50-70K, i'd pay upwards of 5500-6K for everything all in one shot. (with steering rack and some other stuff thrown in)
as a point of reference, i just dropped:
$4400 for 80K S52 engine with trans (already OBD1 converted, with a few assorted goodies. 24# injectors, etc) from a 1999 M3
$400 for ECU with turner software
$300 for 3.23 LSD from a 2000 M coupeOriginally posted by HollandThere should be a restraining order to keep kids 100 feet from that car at all times. Plus execution on the sight to anyone who places a shopping cart within 200 feet of the thing.

I think Ive decided to sell it in parts.
Thinking Im going to ask 4000 for the motor, tranny with the obd1 conversion, 525 oil pan, silver label dme with turner chip. It has many new parts and the wiring is already done.It is in my car now and runs perfect.
100 for the steering rack 97 m3
250 for the LS 3:46 rear
I will be posting this in the forsale section.sigpic

Nah, that's a reasonable asking price. Here's the market prices of the stuff separately:
Software: $150
S52 with ~100k: $3000
OBD-I conversion stuff with DME: $500
525i Oil Pan $150
ZF 320: $450
Total is $4250, so $4000 is a good discount for a package price, especially because you've done a lot of the legwork putting the OBD-I conversion together.

Were you not happy with the end result?
As time went on, the factory developed the car each year, making it faster, more comfortable, and capable of handling at higher speeds.
You don’t want this. You want the trickiest, most dangerous, oldest model you can find. Only then can you prove to the world that you’re a man.
